Intellistack Streamline now supports email and SMS notifications. Users can manage their preferences for non-critical alerts through the new Notification Preferences panel.
What’s New
- Multi-channel notifications: users can now receive account notifications from Streamline via email and SMS, in addition to in-app.
- Notification Preferences panel: Each user can now configure how they want to receive different types of notifications.
- Event-driven triggers: Notifications are sent based on account-level events such as:
- Workflow completed
- User added or removed from a project
- Data source connected, removed, or connection broken
User Notification Preferences
Each user can now manage their own notification preferences in their profile settings. Preferences can be set for non-critical notifications only; critical alerts (like password resets or security notices) will always be sent.

SMS notifications require users to explicitly opt in by providing a phone number and clicking the “Subscribe” button. Users can opt out at any time and restart SMS delivery by texting “START” to the sender.
How You Might Configure Your Notifications
This feature is flexible, and we expect users to tailor it based on how they work. Here are a few examples:
1. You're a project owner managing multiple workflows
You likely want email alerts when workflows are completed, so you can follow up or take next steps.
- Set: Workflow completed → Email + In-App

2. You’re often away from your desk or not logged in
You might prefer SMS for key updates that need real-time visibility—like getting added to a project or seeing a data source break.
- Set:
- You are added to a project → SMS
- Data Source Connected/Disconnected/Removed → SMS + Email

3. You don’t want any non-critical messages at all
Maybe you just want to reduce noise. You can turn off email and SMS for everything except critical system alerts (which are always sent).
- Set: All toggles off except for in-app (defaults remain)

4. You work in IT or data governance
You’ll likely want email for events tied to system-level changes, like connected or removed data sources.
- Set: Data Source Connected/Disconnected/Removed → Email

5. You need a heads-up but prefer to check later
In-app notifications are still available by default. If you want fewer interruptions, leave only in-app notifications enabled and check them on your own schedule.
